International Dawn Chorus Day
An early morning walk in Lickey Hills to hear and spot some of the 60-plus species of birds, some of which have flown thousands of miles to make the Lickeys their home at this time of year. Due to the early start booking is essential.

A bug house is a simple and easy way to discover which creepy crawlies you share your garden with. So come and create a palace, a town house or a little country cottage – it’s up to you! Meet at Balaam’s Wood meadow, Ormond Road entrance.

The British Basketball Finals Weekend
The top four championship teams will take part in the semi-finals on the Saturday, with the season finale on Sunday.
Entertainment comes from the Crazy Dunkers from France, cheerleaders the BBL Babes and team mascots. The best players from the league will compete in a BBL All Star game.

Birmingham Mail 5km Fun Run
The second Birmingham Mail 5km Fun Run, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, starts in Perry Park and finishes at Birmingham Alexander Stadium.
You don’t need to be particularly fit to take part – you can run, jog or stroll around the route. Fancy dress is optional.
Last year’s run raised more than £70,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and organisers hope to raise even more this year.
