Kinky Boots (PG)

KINKY Boots is a fabulous little British film which not only punches above its weight, it kicks male chauvinists where it hurts, too.

Set in Northampton, where a family shoe company established in 1895 is struggling to keep up with the times, the story's redundancy theme inevitably draws comparisons with Brassed Off, The Full Monty and last year's On A Clear Day.

Yet out of all of these movies, Kinky Boots seeks to be the most aspirational, too.
