THIS year's three best animation Oscar nominees are the Japanese classic Howl's Moving Castle, Britain's own Wallace & Gromit - and Tim Burton's Corpse Bride.
Johnny Depp voices Victor Van Dort, who's due to marry Victoria (Emily Watson). But his prospective in-laws are trouble and he can't get his lines right.
While practising alone in a forest, a corpse (Helena Bonham Carter) reaches out from the earth beneath his feet.
Now she's the one who really, really, really wants to offer her hand in marriage...while Victoria is cut adrift in the land of the living.
