TOM Wilkinson is back again in Separate Lies.

Oscar-nominated, the Leeds-born star has become one of Britain's most dependable and prolific yet unsung movie exports.

Co-starring Emily Watson, Rupert Everett and Linda Bassett, this film barely had a UK cimema release last year and is likely to polarise opinions about its worthfulness now.

An updated crime-drama adaptation of Nigel Balchin's 1951 novel A Way Through The Wood, the provocative study of corrupted ideals and infidelity. But the series of moral dilemmas fail to truly grip.
