DOOM is based on a computer game about Marines investigating what has happened on a space station.
Directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, there's lots of running about in dark tunnels.
And, despite the odd impressive effect or despatch, the mood of Doom is as relentlessly grey as the sets.
Former wrestling star The Rock (Sarge) can do much better than this as The Scorpion King will prove when it is premiered tonight at 6.45pm on ITV.
