The Pink Panther (PG)

LISTEN to Henry Mancini's reassuringly familiar title theme at the beginning of The Pink Panther and all seems well with the world.

But then Steve Martin arrives as Inspector Clueless, now 22 years older than Peter Sellers was in his prime back in '63.

Directed by Cheaper By The Dozen's Shawn Levy, everything creaks - and it's not just the stars' ageing bones.

The cast includes Kevin Kline as Chf Insp Dreyfus and the once-brilliant Leon star Jean Reno mugging along as Clouseau's stoic assistant Gendarme Gilbert Ponton.
