Shutter (15)
SET in Japan, this is a laboured and Americanised remake of a 2004 Thai thriller.
At its heart is the concept that cameras can take pictures of spirits. Fashion photographer Benjamin Shaw (Joshua Jackson) and his wife Jane (Rachael Taylor) travel to the Far East for a fashion shoot but all doesn't go to plan.
Shutter features one spellbindingly-good sequence of flashbombs lighting up our central spirit in action, but neither Jackson nor Taylor suggest they are ever in any real peril, especially if you've seen all of this stuff too many times before in films like The Ring and The Grudge.
Also available to buy for £19.99, the extras include nine deleted scenes, 'A History Of Spirit Photography' featurette and a guide to creating your own phantom photo.
