DENNIS Quaid plays a professor of Victorian literature who can't express his emotions.
A widower with little time for his students, he suffers a head injury in a crash and cannot drive for six months.
Despite the optimism of the title and a cast including Sarah Jessica Parker, Thomas Haden Church and Ellen Page (Juno), it's all extremely dull.
Smart People is also available to buy for £14.99, but a much cheaper and superior option would be to find Michael Douglas in Curtis Hanson's Wonder Boys (2000) instead.
