IF YOU like well-crafted human dramas, Rebecca Miller’s adaptation of her own novel is well worth seeking out.
With her older husband (Alan Arkin) on the verge of retirement, Pippa (Robin Wright Penn) is feeling bored. Enter neighbours’ son Chris (Keanu Reeves) who turns out to be not quite all that he seems. The great supporting cast includes Winona Ryder, Maria Bello, Julianne Moore and Monica Bellucci and the strong women keep us watching whenever the slight plot threatens to stall.
