Deep Sea 3D (PG)

THE latest 41-minute movie to open at Birmingham's giant IMAX cinema is the proper way to go diving - in crystal clear 3D.

The real-life aquatic stars are more astonishing than anything you'll see in The Reef.

And you are guaranteed to jump out of your seat early on when a huge beast comes across the screen.

A Giant Pacific Octopus devouring a crab and spitting out the unwanted bit is another highlight in a visually spellbinding film narrated by Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet.

Shot off Hawaii, the Gulf of Mexico and British Columbia during 87 diving days, and featuring 67 unique species, Deep Sea is accompanied by music from Charlotte's Web composer Danny Elfman.

A marriage made in underwater heaven, 3D and IMAX were invented for submersible experiences like this.
