SHE'S The Man star Amanda Bynes is a real cutie who looks great in a bikini and doesn't mind making fun of herself.

But the fact that this film has been on the shelf for a couple of years says a lot about a romantic comedy that's all froth and no substance.

Bynes plays student Jenny Taylor who goes on a St Lucia holiday with her friend Ryan (Jonathan Bennett) only for her rock star idol Jason Masters (Chris Carmack) to turn up as well.

Engineering a place on Masters' boat, Jenny ends up marooned with him after a storm - and she's the only one who realises just how close to base they really are.

How long can she keep her new man trapped at such close quarters? What happens when a love rival appears? And how will all this affect her feelings for Ryan?

Robinson Crusoe meets Celebrity Love Island, there's nothing fantastic about this 86-minute fantasy made by Grease and The Blue Lagoon director Randal Kleiser.

But it's cheesy enough if you want nothing more than the light in light entertainment.
