Elton John promises to bring his Las Vegas magic to Birmingham

SIR Elton John is coming to Birmingham's NIA with his new show The Red Piano.

Firm fan favourites will be sprinkled throughout the show, due to be held later this year, including Rocket Man, Yellow Brick Road and Candle in the Wind.

Sir Elton said: "I can't wait to see how British audiences react to the Red Piano.

"The show is stuffed with hits, it's brash bright and colourful. Over the past four years we have played almost 200 Red Piano shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and every single one has been an event - the band and I have had a ball.

"Last year London became Las Vegas when we brought the Red Piano to the O2 Arena, and what a night it was.

"This year we're going to sprinkle that Vegas magic over Birmingham and we look forward to seeing people there."

The typically flamboyant show, which has been running in Las Vegas for the past four years, has been choreographed and designed by Sir Elton's friend and collaborator David La Chapelle and features photographs from the pop star's life. n The show is on November 19.

Tickets go on sale from Friday at www.theticketfactory.com or by calling 0871 945 6000.
