Ali puts solo gig back 12 months

FORMER UB40 frontman Ali Campbell has postponed his UK tour till next year.

The reggae favourite should have been performing a hometown gig at Birmingham NIA tomorrow but the show will now take place on June 27, 2009.

Writing on his website, Ali says: "Due to factors beyond our control, I am sorry to say that we have had to move the UK tour to next year.

"I am gutted that we have to disappoint fans who have bought tickets and supported me, through the turmoil and changes of the last few months.

"I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and we are planning something for later in the year, to make it up to you."
