Big names heading for Brum

SUMMER has only just begun but already the big names of music are announcing autumn and winter visits to Birmingham.

* McFly turn to Birmingham’s NEC Arena on Friday November 14 for a show that celebrates their new album Radio:ACTIVE.

The album will be the first on MCFly’s own label, Super Records, which has been funded by the band members themselves.

* Multi-platinum selling American band Fall Out Boy kick off their UK tour at Birmingham NEC Arena on Sunday October 19.

* Gabriella Cilmi begins her headline UK tour with a show at Birmingham Carling Academy 2 on October 2.

The singer, whose debut single, Sweet About Me, is on its way to being one of the biggest selling singles of the year, also performs at the V Festival at Staffordshire’s Weston Park on August 16.
