Review: AC/ DC at LG Arena, NEC

Halfway through the show he does a striptease, revealing that he wears underpants emblazoned with the AC/DC logo.

It should be so wrong - but it works. The songs are simple bar-room blues but they’re brought to life with over-the-top props and a band that refuses to take itself too seriously.

The two hour set opens with a full size locomotive crashing onto the stage for Rock ‘n’ Roll Train, a giant bell is lowered for Hell’s Bells, a 40 ft high blow up doll is inflated during Whole Lotta Rosie and Angus ascends to the stage from a flaming pit for Highway To Hell.

A walkway leading to a mini stage at the centre of the arena means Angus and Brian can get up close and personal with the fans - and we all get a good look at Angus when the stage turns out to be a platform on which the guitarist solos as it is raised high over the crowd.

Another electric performance!
