Dancing On Ice Tour, National Indoor Arena

IT'S captivated TV audiences for three series - and the Dancing on Ice domination continues with the new live show.

The first night in Birmingham was a rip-roaring success as Olympic heroes Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean brought a host of celeb and pro skaters to the National Indoor Arena. An injury to former England goalkeeper David Seaman which meant he couldn't skate failed to put a dampener on proceedings as Suzanne Shaw, Gareth Gates, Kyran Bracken, Bonnie Langford, Claire Buckfield, Linda Lusardi and Zaraah Abrahams recreated the hit TV show. The panto atmosphere was in full swing right from the off as the judges were cheered for high marks and Jason Gardiner was hissed whether he gave high or low marks!

The live show follows the TV format with the judges voting for their favourites and the audience adding their votes via a charity text number to crown a nightly champion. The performances of Torvill and Dean and a truly spectacular routine of Candyman by pro duo Fred Palascak and Melanie Lambert stole the show.

Dancing on Ice runs until Sunday.
