Double whammy from Hofesh
ISRAELI choreographer Hofesh Schechter brings a double bill to Warwick Arts Centre next week.
Kicking off the programme is Uprising in which seven men recreate a night out together in an aggressive burst of energy complete with sparring and bonding.
Uprising is followed by In Your Rooms in which 12 men and women join forces to look at the highs and lows of relationships. Set to a new score with string player Nell Catchpole, the piece is accompanied by live music.
Born in Jerusalem, Hofesh has become one of the buzz names of modern dance. Recent works include Fragments and Cult while this spring he created a public piece for the International Dance Festival Birmingham.
